FAQs
-
We use flat-rate pricing so you know the cost before work begins. Hourly pricing often leads to surprise bills and rewards slow work. Our pricing is based on the job, materials, and expertise required — not how long we stay in your home.
We also offer regular flat-rate service on Saturdays and Sundays, subject to availability. After-hours and true emergency calls are billed at a separate emergency flat rate due to the immediate response required.
-
Yes. O’Keefe’s Electrical is fully licensed and insured in North Carolina. All work is performed to current electrical code and backed by professional standards we stand behind.
-
We offer consultations and inspections depending on the scope of work. For service issues and diagnostics, we charge a flat diagnostic fee that is often credited toward approved repairs.
-
Common signs include frequent breaker trips, flickering lights, burning smells, outdated panels (like FPE or Zinsco), or adding large appliances. We perform load evaluations and safety checks to determine if a replacement is truly needed — not just “recommended.”
-
We install trusted, code-approved materials from manufacturers like Square D, Eaton, Siemens, Pass & Seymour, and Generac. We don’t use off-brand or shortcut materials in customer homes.
-
We offer flexible scheduling options to help you avoid missing work. Standard service appointments are available during the week, and Saturday and Sunday appointments are also available at our regular flat-rate pricing, based on availability.
After-hours and true emergency calls are scheduled separately and billed at an emergency flat rate due to the immediate response required.
-
Our subscription is designed for homeowners who want proactive electrical care, priority service, and long-term savings. Members receive inspections, discounted service calls, and peace of mind knowing their system is being monitored — not ignored until something fails.
-
Yes. When a permit is required, we handle it properly. Permits protect homeowners, ensure inspections are completed, and prevent issues when selling or insuring your home.
